Celine Dion Hosts Grand Opening of Octavius Tower at Caesars Palace with Lunar New Year Celebration

In celebration of Lunar New Year, Caesars Palace headliner Celine Dion hosted the grand opening ceremony for the new Octavius Tower at Caesars Palace, officially ringing in the Year of the Dragon. During the private ceremony this evening, Dion participated in the customary lion dance, bringing good fortune to the resort’s sixth hotel tower and wishing happiness and prosperity for the New Year.

“I am pleased to celebrate the opening of the luxurious Octavius Tower at Caesars Palace and am very honored to welcome the Year of the Dragon,” said Dion. “As this is a very special time when millions of people around the world are celebrating the Lunar New Year, I would like to send my very best wishes to all for a healthy and happy New Year.”

The grand opening celebration kicked off with a traditional lion dance parade as Dion painted the eyes of the emblematic lion to awaken it, presenting it with a red envelope, a customary gift to symbolize prosperity. Accompanied by beating drums, synchronized lion dancers paraded throughout the tower to ward off evil spirits, welcoming a new year of wealth and prosperity.

“At Caesars Palace we are privileged to welcome guests from around the world and it is with great pleasure that we continue our longstanding Chinese New Year celebrations – a custom which began in 1975,” announced Caesars Palace Regional President Gary Selesner. “As we proudly commemorate the Lunar New Year, we are excited to welcome our very own Celine Dion as she hosts the official grand opening of our brand new Octavius Tower. On behalf of Caesars Palace, I wish you and your families a very happy and prosperous New Year.”

Caesars Palace opened its sixth hotel tower, Octavius Tower, on Jan. 2, bringing the resort’s total inventory up to 3,960 rooms and suites. The 668-room hotel tower offers guests a luxurious boutique hotel experience within the larger destination resort with a private valet entrance, separate hotel lobby and innovative in-room technology package.

As today, January 23, marks the start of the Chinese New Year, a celebration of prosperity and good fortune, many tourists will head to Las Vegas to try their luck, and they can also be delighted by authentic Chinese cuisine created exclusively in honor of the holiday by several restaurants on The Strip.

With prix-fixe menus and special dishes paying homage to The Year of the Dragon, the Chinese lucky number eight and authentic Cantonese dim sum, restaurants at ARIA Resort & Casino, Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Monte Carlo and Luxor are all joining the festivities.

The high-end, whimsically decorated Blossom is serving up a Cantonese Dim Sum menu featuring Steamed Chopped Spare Ribs, an extensive list of dumplings and more. Jasmine and Noodles will offer guests a Dim Sum lunch buffet at each restaurant from Saturday, Jan. 21 – Sunday, Jan. 29. MGM Grand

At Grand Wok and Sushi Bar, a special menu celebrates the Chinese lucky number eight with prices that end with 88 cents, featuring traditional cuisine such as Black Moss with Dried Oyster and Mochi Red Bean Soup, available from Friday, Jan. 20 – Saturday, Feb. 4. Also at MGM Grand, Pearl will offer a traditional Chinese menu in addition to a Dim Sum lunch from Friday, Jan. 20 – Monday, Jan. 30 while Shibuya also will offer special dishes from Friday, Jan. 20 – Friday, Jan. 27. Mandalay Bay
Both the Bayside Buffet and Noodle Shop will have special offerings in celebration of the Chinese New Year, such as Dim Sum assortments and Lotus Leaf Wrapped Chicken at the buffet, as well as Crispy Roasted Squab and Braised Sea Cucumber at the Noodle Shop. The Mirage
Cravings Buffet is upgrading its Wok Station in honor of the holiday, with an extensive offering of Chinese favorites, from Shrimp Egg Rolls to General Tso Chicken to Beef Lo Mein. Also at The Mirage, Fin will be open for dinner and present special Chinese dishes Thursday, Jan. 19 – Monday, Jan. 30 from 5 p.m. – 11 p.m. For dining reservations, contact (702) 791-7111.

Monte Carlo – Today only, for $29 per guest, Dragon Noodle at Monte Carlo’s prix-fixe menu focuses on traditional Chinese cuisine and ingredients, with authentic dishes such as Gong Hei Fat Choy and Ha Ha Smile. For dining reservations, contact (702) 730-7965

Luxor – The newly opened Pan-Asian restaurant Rice & Co. is offering a prix-fixe menu for $65, featuring palate-pleasing dishes such as The Dragon Roll which is topped with avocado and caviar in celebration of The Year of the Dragon, from Monday, Jan. 23 – Thursday, Feb. 9. Britney Spears and Jason Trawick Celebrate their Engagement at Sugar Factory American Brasserie and Chateau Nightclub & Gardens at Paris Las Vegas

Whether walking through Sugar Factory’s bustling retail shop, sitting side-by-side over dinner with friends at Sugar Factory American Brasserie or in their luxurious private section at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens, Britney Spears and Jason Trawick were hand-in-hand as they celebrated their engagement and Trawick’s 40th birthday last night.

Spears, glowing in the wake of her engagement, wore a skin-tight blush-colored dress showcasing her hourglass frame. Trawick, dressed for the occasion in a stylish grey suit with a vest, looked adoringly at his soon-to-be bride throughout the evening.

Her engagement ring, a befitting bauble for the gorgeous pop princess, shone brightly from her left hand. The stunning round-cut engagement ring from Neil Lane was impossible to miss.

Spears and Trawick canoodled and laughed with each other in a secluded corner of Sugar Factory’s luxurious Chocolate Lounge, joined by their friends and family, reveling in the brand new chapter of their lives together. The blonde bride-to-be couldn’t keep her eyes off of her brand new sparkler, as she put her hand out in front of her and gave her man kisses throughout the meal.

The group started the meal with a toast to the lovely couple. For dinner, the lovebirds shared Sugar Factory American Brasserie’s salmon and array of pizza, including the popular chocolate pizza. Dining in the Chocolate Lounge wouldn’t have been complete without a decadent dessert and Sugar Factory pulled out all the stops for the darling duo. Spears and Trawick playfully enjoyed sharing treats dipped in an oversized chocolate fountain, the centerpiece of an elaborate dessert display of cupcakes, gumdrops and other indulgences.

As a special birthday treat for her beau, Spears walked with Trawick through Sugar Factory’s retail after dinner, picking out sweet treats for each other and goodies for the boys that included the too-cute boys’ T-shirts for Sean and Jayden. Spears loved the store’s apparel, as she picked out for herself the “I Want Candy” tunics and tanks, Sugar Factory signature jeans and couture pops. The sweethearts also made sure to snag sweets like M&Ms, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Hershey’s Kisses and Blow Pops.

Surrounded by a group of 30, Trawick and Spears went upstairs to Chateau Nightclub & Gardens after dinner, where thousands of fans cheered and shouted congratulations for Spears and Trawick when they entered the club.

Spears and Trawick happily chatted with friends and greeted fans in the club, occasionally sneaking away to enjoy some private time together.

Still, Spears had a special surprise for her man. As the LED flashed “Happy Birthday Jason,” Spears presented her new fiance with a two-tier black and white birthday cake with “Happy Birthday Jason” displayed across the decadent red velvet cake, Trawick’s favorite.

Trawick and Spears clearly enjoyed their escape together, laughing and smiling with each other and friends as the newly engaged couple were seen dancing up a storm late into the night at the stylish club.

Chateau Nightclub & Gardens will host the most elaborate New Year’s Eve bashes on the Las Vegas Strip, with a performance by Good Charlotte and special guest Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino on Friday, Dec. 30, and Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian ringing in the New Year with DJs Joel and Benji Madden on Saturday, Dec. 31.

Chateau Nightclub & Gardens is a luxurious nightclub, terrace and lush rooftop nightclub at Paris Las Vegas. Jenny McCarthy Parties at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens in Las Vegas

Blonde babe, Jenny McCarthy, stole the hearts of partiers at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens inside Paris Las Vegas, as she partied with friends Friday night.

The model and actress stunned a crowd of fans on the red carpet, dressed in a sequined tank by Bella McCarthy, before heading inside.

Joined by friends, Kelly Monaco and Cheryl Burke, Jenny McCarthy spent the evening in the middle of the action at her VIP booth inside the nightclub. Sipping on a Cosmopolitan, the former Playboy ‘Playmate of the Year’ danced and laughed with her crew while looking out onto the full dance floor.

McCarthy also took a tour of the new addition to the nightclub, Butterfly at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens. “This is amazing,” she said, as she admired the views of Las Vegas Boulevard and the Fountains of Bellagio.

Prior to heading into the club, the group enjoyed sundaes at Sugar Factory American Brasserie. McCarthy savored a red velvet ice cream sundae and a lollipop goblet cocktail, stating, “I can’t believe how amazing this is.”

Comme Ça Celebrates Christmas with a Special Three-Course Prix-Fixe Menu

Comme Ça, the modern French brasserie by acclaimed Chef David Myers at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, will offer guests a special prix-fixe dinner menu in honor of the Christmas holiday from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday, December 25.

The three-course meal, crafted by Myers and Executive Chef Brian Howard, is priced at $49 per person. The exquisite meal combines traditional ingredients with modern flavors, creating a distinctive dining experience for the holiday.

Guests begin the evening with Warm Bartlett Pear and Goose Rillette served with green garlic and flowering herbs.

The second course offers three different options including “All Spiced” Christmas Ham with sweet potato brûlée, brussels sprout leaves and cranberry jam; Butternut Squash Tortellini with vanilla roasted pumpkin, sage butter and pomegranate kernels; and Salt Baked Striped Bass “En Cocote” Truffle with chestnut custard and chanterelle mushroom consommé.

To complete the one-of-a-kind meal, diners will indulge in “a study of eggnog” – a sweet tribute to the seasonal holiday– Liquid Vanilla Bourbon Truffle with eggnog froth and cinnamon pudding served with Eggnog Soufflé, Winter Spiced Anglaise and Eggnog Pot de Crème.

The gorgeous Holly Madison wowed the crowd on the red carpet as she celebrated her 32nd birthday at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens inside Paris Las Vegas, Saturday night. The Las Vegas “PEEPSHOW” star dazzled in a gold sparkle dress by Versace for H&M collection and red sparkle Christian Louboutin stilettos with gold spikes.

Accompanied by her good friends and co-stars of “Holly’s World,” Josh Strickland and Angel Porrino, the group gathered in their VIP booth as they celebrated an early birthday at the lavish nightclub. Her lovable fans were itching for her attention, including one surprising her by throwing a fox beanie baby that Holly loved. Another birthday surprise was when she was presented with her new favorite thing, a troll themed birthday cake. The trio and friends dove into the treat as they laughed and danced late into the night for the blonde bombshell’s very special occasion.

Also seen partying at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens was former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Quinton Rampage Jackson. The prime time fighter turned actor, including a lead role in “The A-Team,” was joined by a large entourage in his VIP booth next to the birthday girl. Madekwe, toasting her 30th birthday, was joined by her boyfriend Iddo Goldberg and many of her show’s co-stars including Connor Paolo, Gabriel Mann, Emily VanCamp, Joshua Bowman, Nick Wechsler, and Margarita Levieva. They dined at the Italian eatery, enjoying signature favorites before heading up to a VIP table on the dance floor in the club. The starlet was thrilled by her birthday cake and a shout out from DJ Obi One while being cheered on by her cast mates, and her friends treated her to a magnum of Champagne delivered with a flourish by LAVO’s cocktail waitresses.

The Venetian and The Palazzo continue the holiday spirit as season 13 winner of “Dancing with the Stars” Karina Smirnoff made a stop at the resorts’ first-ever Winter in Venice. The Barrymore Rings in 2012 With a Prix Fixe Dining Experience

Las Vegas’ newest hidden gem, The Barrymore, will offer an exceptional New Year’s Eve experience of food, wine and atmosphere. The new culinary sensation will allow guests commemorate the end 2011 with a fantastic feast, and start 2012 with a champagne toast, all while celebrating with friends and family.

“We’re offering guests the chance to relax and spend New Year’s Eve with their loved ones while enjoying great food and wine,” said Chef Anthony Meidenbauer. “The Strip can be very overwhelming, and The Barrymore’s celebration is a way to ring in the New Year without the craziness.”

The New Year’s Eve prix fixe menu will start with veal sweet breads, white truffle gnocchi and parmesan foam. Next, diners will enjoy short rib and foie gras tortellini with a white verjus sauce. For the main course, guests will relish petite Buffalo filet mignon and roasted Maine lobster ‘Surf-n-Turf.’ The meal will finish with a white chocolate dome for dessert, and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. The prix fixe menu will be offered for $59 per person, and guests may add a wine pairing for $26. For reservations, guests may call 702.407.5303.

Lauded an “off the Strip gem” by the New York Post, The Barrymore is located inside the Royal Resort on Convention Center Drive, providing a convenient location for business lunches or relaxing meals. This quaint dining spot is open for breakfast daily at 8 a.m. and again at 11:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and Friday and Saturday until midnight.
