The oyster shots here are incredible! Defintely worth the trip just for those. 1/28/2012 1:04:31 PM
Great hip hop spot...good looking upscale crowd 1/27/2012 8:11:19 PM
DJ plays great music during dinner 1/27/2012 5:40:30 PM
Think about this for a second! As your mind begins to tell your body that it`s getting the urge to devour the next piece of food that is put in it`s face, don`t let down your soul and splurge at the fast food joint of choice. You are in Las Vegas, take a mental note now, that you are here to do things a little different. That means that you are going to plan ahead this time, make a reservation, get in a meal, that otherwise, you would be unaware of and then, when you are done, you will understand the meaning of being in balance with the Universe! That is what eating at Sushi Samba does for the mind, body and soul. And when you are done with this meal it will give your heart a new found love. Sushi Samba is what you get when you fuze Japanese Food, with Brazilian Food and Peruvian Food! There is no concept like this in the world, except for the seven other Sushi Samba`s that are around the country, particularly in New York City, Miami, Chicago and don`t forget Las Vegas, which is the one I`m thinking of at this very moment. Mmm! Making your way to the Palazzo Hotel, attached to the Venetian Hotel, is not a hard feat to accomplish. These hot spots are located in the heart of the strip, on the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Spring Mountain. It couldn`t be easier to get to, and for those of you who drive, the Palazzo has one of the best parking garages around. Park in the Northern end of the structure, take the elevator to the casino level and then, take the escalator to the second floor, which is where The Shoppes at the Palazzo are located and then there it is, the one of a kind, mouth watering, thirst quenching...Sushi Samba! After being greeted by a wonderful staff of beautiful and helpful hostesses, take a look to the right and you will see, as you set your gaze upon the outstanding bar area, that it is populated, once again, with beautiful and helpful bartenders, that are pouring you one of the famous drink specials that Sushi Samba is known for. For instance, you can`t go wrong with their Signature Kumori cocktail. In this you will find Nigori sake, Shochu, Gin, muddled cucumber and a Nori-salt rim. Next, on the drink menu you will find the effervescent Samba Juice doused with raspberry and watermelon infused rum, acai, passion fruit, creme de banana, and guava. This is a treat that you will not want to miss out on. With a vast array of cold Sake, Latin classics and Japanese Chu-Hi`s, you are sure to leave here with a smile on your face that goes around the globe and back again. The ambiance is energetic, the atmosphere has vibe and the aesthetics are beautiful. Masterpieces are etched on the walls by famous artists of Brazil, videos of these other parts of the world are projected throughout the establishment and the music is spun by a DJ which has a combination of several Brazilian styles and rhythms fuzed with Samba. There is a fantastic sushi bar, great booth seating and even an events room in the back for larger parties and catered events. Whether you are here for work, play or just a romantic weekend getaway, you have found the spot that can and will take you to the next level. Now that you`ve had a drink, some eye candy, and some good music, it`s time to get to the menu, and extensive it is! Firstly, for `apertivos`, it`s a must to start off with the Otsumami. It`s an assortment of edamame, green bean tempura, and shishito peppers, priced at $16.00. By the way, the dipping sauce for the green bean tempura is unbelievable. Next, Rock Shrimp Tempura! This is made with golden pea shoot, snap pea jullienne, spicy mayo, and black truffle vinaigrette, priced at $18.00. This is an instant classic. The `Seviches & Tiraditos` are also the items on the menu that you won`t want to look over. Getting to the heart of the menu you are going to find the Miso-Marinated Chilean Sea Bass, with roasted organic vegetables and oshinko, priced at $29.00. You`re not going to want me to stop there! Rock Fish a la Plancha, with charred asparagus, grapefruit, tomato caviar, in a toza-su sauce, priced at $28.00, is superb. But wait, there`s more, actually lot`s more, however, this is a dish you can`t pass over. Wagyu Beef, grade A5 at $30.00 oz. There are several different ways you can order this dish but the most popular way is the Ishi Yaki hot stone, which comes with dipping sauces and vegetables. This is a 2 oz minimum. I recommend at least 8-10 oz., it`s that good! One last recomendation, besides the fresh sushi, the Jalepeno Yellow Tail sashimi, and the fantastic oyster bar(I had to get those in there), is the Hamachi Kama. This is the the neck of Hamachi or Young Yellow Tail Amberjack. It is the most fatty and delicious part of the fish, packed with omega-3 fatty acids and loads of vitamin D. Grilled to perfection on a robata grill and served piping hot, this dish is amazing. The dipping sauce is excellent which is called Sushoyu, a smoked soy sauce. The smokey flavor of this sauce is caused by the addition of Dashi, which are Bonito flakes, specifically called Katsuobushi, which is the Japanese name for dried, fermented, and smoked skipjack tuna. An impressive dish to order with any group and also an inexpensive one, priced at only $12! The food, at any restaurant, in my opinion is only as good as the wait staff that brings it! At Sushi Samba, there is no oversight in this department. Here, the waitstaff actually adds to the overall taste and with that, makes the food even better. It`s my whole theory that with bad service, a bad taste is left in your mouth, with good service, a good taste is left in your mouth, but with great service, the food actually tastes better! This is why having the best management team in place is imperative. From the Executive Chef, who happens to be Herb Wilson, down to the General Manager, who happens to be Michael Durovsik, this place is packed with excellent service and a wonderful and accommodating staff. You can count on Sushi Samba for complete Harmony! Tell them Brett sent you! 1/26/2012 2:23:45 PM
Wow the girls dancing in the club were hot (onfire). I`m still dreaming about them. 1/7/2012 1:44:09 AM
Grotto in Golden Nugget is some of the best Italian Food I`ve had. The service has been awesome every time I`ve gone there. Great selection of wines and the servers are very well versed in making recommendations on wines based on what you are ordering for dinner. If you get seated by the windows, you can catch a glimpse of the sharks swimming in the outside aquarium which has a water slide going thru it. Higly recommended! 12/23/2011 7:22:55 PM
Best burger on the Strip! Very convenient and affordable. The burger isn`t frozen and the buns are always hot! 12/22/2011 7:54:04 PM
If you`re a late night owl which most Vegas goers are, then you have to check out Drais afterhours. Its the #1 after hours club in the world and no one else can compete. Dont let the older run down casinos fool you. Just look for the swarms of people surrounding a small elevator and stairway to guide yourself into a late night frenzy of bottle popping and local house DJ`s. The club doesnt open its doors until 1:30am and it really gets going around 3 AM until ? No need for cell phones here! Drais is located in the basement of a casino where noone gets cell phone reception. Who needs to call home at 4am anyways?! The staff and bartenders are very friendly and always like to hook up their fellow locals with a free drink or two. Bottom line Drais is the spot to be...if it`s not past your bed time that is. 12/22/2011 3:49:31 PM
While hanging around the Plaza in Downtown Las Vegas right at the head of the Fremont Street Experience I went looking for something to eat. I found myself at the Hash House A Go Go, which is just inside the Plaza next to their lobby. The decor is kind of industrial looking with all the diamond plate steel everywhere. It looked very clean and crisp. I really liked how they had the napkins rolled up long and thin and then placed on the tables in the pattern of a large X. I don`t know why that looked so cool but it did. I`m kind of a burger guy and even though they have a full menu of steaks and such I went with the Blue Cheese Burger. It`s a one-pound burger stuffed with blue cheese. It`s more like two half-pound burgers stacked with the `stuffing` between the two. When it arrived it had a huge steak knife sticking out of it with a branch of some decorative plant but it was obvious right off the bat that there was no way I was going to pick up this burger and eat it. It also included a side of French fries that were not too thin and not too thick, not too crispy and not too soft. For my palette they were just right. Breaking out the knife and fork I attacked the burger with a hungry zeal. That first bite was about the best bite of a burger I had ever had. The blue cheese was tangy but not over powering as it can be. The bun was good, although I couldn`t finish it and the burger as one pound of beef on a huge bun is a bit too much even for a big guy like myself. Although I`m sure many can finish it in one setting but not me. There was also a swipe of BBQ sauce on the front and back edges of the plate and I have to say it was pretty darn good. It was kind of on the sweet side but it went well with the blue cheese and it was even good to dip the fries in it as well. The service was OK but nothing special. They did top off my soda but I didn`t get the customary, `is everything all right?` question. The price for my burger, soda, and tip was right around $20 so it is a bit pricey and the other meals were also as or more expensive. This isn`t a place for someone on a tight budget although, you will walk out with a fully belly no matter how much or little you spend. No review of the Hash House A Go Go is complete without talking about their world famous breakfasts. For instance their French Toast made with their signature Amish style bread dipped in a banana cinnamon cream with pecan maple syrup. A breakfast legend. Not to mention their giant sized flapjacks. They also have some interesting dishes otherwise known as `House Hashes`. One of these dishes is chicken, roasted garlic, and topped with two eggs. They also have their Hash House famous meatloaf, roasted red peppers, fresh spinach and smoked mozzarella, also topped with two eggs. Being at the Plaza this place is a little off the beaten path but if you find yourself in the area looking for a delicious yet twisted `farm food` meal then this is a worthwhile place to stop. 12/15/2011 7:43:18 PM

Had lunch there last week. Had read your review just prior to our Vegas trip and decided to give it a try. We were NOT disappointed. Great food, excellent service and a beautiful room. Ferraro\`s will be on our list of places to return to on our next trip. Thanks for the review. 11/28/2011 8:09:44 PM
This show is something else! Lot`s of energy and good information about the Vegas scene, especially about the nightlife. I`ve enjoyed the guests, particularly the show with Randall the Honey Badger Narrator. Oh, also I had a great time listening to Sharif Bogere talk about his boxing career. It`s great to hear what the executive chefs of these fantastic restaurants such as STK and Ferraro`s have to say about their establishments! Can`t wait to hear the next episode. I`m calling in for sure!!! 11/20/2011 7:52:05 PM

Del Frisco`s Double Eagle Steak House: A Hole in One! Where do I begin? Let`s start with the complimentary valet service as you arrive, or even better, the stretch limo that you booked though Vegashotspots.com! You`ll notice the outdoor patio near the front entry for those of you looking to enjoy a fine cigar or smoke. The previous days of the indoor cigar room and humidor are no longer, but you came for the Steak! Originating in Dallas Texas 20 years ago, the award-winning Del Frisco`s Double Eagle Steak House has established itself as a premier culinary destination for the most discerning beef connoisseurs. Featuring aged USDA Prime Beef, chops, and the freshest seafood available, Del Frisco`s is the ultimate destination for an unforgettable dining experience. As you enter the heavy double doors, you are cordially greeted as you check in and make your way to the bar for a pre-dinner cocktail. A pianist plays elegantly in the background as you sip your VIP Martini in preparation for what`s to come. The house specialty cocktail is the VIP `Vodka infused with Pineapple` martini among the vast array of wines, beers, and spirits. Be sure to check out the `James Bond` table which features a unique collection of wines each named after a feature film. Now that your guests have arrived you are greeted at the bar and shuttled over to your awaiting table or private dining room. You notice the crisp table linens and elegant decor while your napkin is draped over your lap. Your drink order is taken, and the menus are presented as a gift. I immediately order a round of crab cakes for the table to accompany the cocktails. The hostess says: `your server will be right with you`. The crab cake appetizer is composed of jumbo lump crab meat and just enough filler to hold it together. Baked, not fried, and complimented by a fresh remoulade sauce. I don`t recommend sharing. How about a couple jumbo shrimp and raw oysters to make it a crustacean party? Or try the beef tartar. The freshly baked sesame sweet bread makes a nice sauce sponge. As you contemplate the menu, the waiter describes specialty items and signature dishes such as the double filet-mignon entre each topped with its own seafood companion of crab and scallops. Do you go for the bone-in ribeye, or the slow cooked osso buco? How about another few minutes? With your order placed, your entrees and sides arrive in orderly fashion by a team of runners. Be careful, the plates are HOT! Each guest is served simultaneously to avoid envy or hostility. The lobster mac and cheese and chateau potatoes fill up your plate. You cut into your steak to check for color and the world around you dissolves as you enter into culinary bliss. No steak sauce needed. It would only take away from the rich, flavorful beef. Each stroke of your steak knife draws you deeper into a trance as you savor each bite. You slowly, but surely reach the end to find that you haven`t looked up or said a word. There is an unspoken bond with your guests. You have officially reached steak ecstasy. Desert anyone? How about a glass of brandy or port? Or make your way to the outdoor cigar patio. As you close your check and tip generously, you ponder on the next visit and make a future reservation on your way out. Del Frisco`s becomes the subject of conversation for weeks and months to come. Your standard has officially been raised. Setup your reservation through vegashotspots.com and experience our custom all-inclusive menu options. Enjoy, and tell them Tyler sent you! 11/12/2011 11:05:33 AM

There are over 246 Italian restaurants in Las Vegas! Nightly we get to choose from the best of the best and experience every type of Italian fare there is, from traditional to modern and even new fusion concepts all around the city. One of the greatest things about Vegas is that you`re surrounded by the world class food options. When you`re on the Las Vegas strip you will have your pick of 4 and 5 star restaurants with award winning chefs from all across the globe. When you`re on the strip the skies the limit with food choice, but you will also find absolutely amazing places off the strip as well. Take Ferraro`s Italian restaurant and wine bar located on paradise and east Harmon Avenue just a few blocks away from the Las Vegas Strip. It`s located inconspicuously across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel. Ferraro`s has the perfect balance of light elegance and romance in its quant atmosphere specifically on the patio with the brisk night air and the delicate lighting array you become engrossed in the romantic mood . The ambience is pitch perfect for a romantic evening with a loved one or the bar area is set for a great spot to hang out with friends before the night starts. The food is exquisite! I have personally sampled each appetizer on the menu and you can`t go wrong with any of the menu items. My favorite is the Carpaccio di Tonno, personally I love Ahi tuna and I was presently surprised with how much flavour was packed in this appetizer. When it comes to Italian food I`m all about the sauce and how it complements the pasta and meat. Well Ferraro`s chef Mimmo gets it just right with the traditional recipes past down throughout the years. The wine list is vast and accommodating for anyone, being a true wine connoisseur or a novice looking to try something new, the wait staff is very attentive and helpful. They will make sure that you are well taken care of and that`s what truly separates good restaurants from the great ones. The level of service is as important as the meal itself and the Ferraro`s staff understands that. Ferraro`s is a great place to relax and enjoy Italian cuisine with great service and a beautiful atmosphere. The menu is moderately priced and they have great happy hour and even reverse happy hour deals daily. If you`re a local or tourist you have to check this place out because this is what great dining in Las Vegas is all about. 11/8/2011 5:23:44 PM
When you`re at the top, how do you top yourself? That`s the question for Steve Wynn. When you`re setting the bar how do you raise, raise then re-raise it? Well, that`s what this icon of Las Vegas has done over and over again in the city that Steve Wynn built. When you enter The Wynn and The Encore you find yourself in an environment that caters to your every sense. Mostly though he is catering to your sense of self worth. How do you expect to be treated? The answer is in your face the second you roll on property. With dignity! What is dignity? Dignity is a term that has been philosophically debated since the beginning of time and it`s no wonder that Steve Wynn has been able to define it. Some say it`s a persons innate right to respect and ethical treatment, others say that it`s the ability of humans to choose their own actions, free will and still even others argue that dignity is something you can`t put a value on. Steve Wynn gives each and every individual a chance of feeling dignified by offering an `experience` that is unique to each. It`s this experience that gives you this sense of dignity. It`s your qualia, your subjective conscious experiences, that give you this feeling that is unique to you, because no one can feel what you`re feeling. It`s Steve Wynn that gives you this ultimate sense of dignity by offering you an experience that is beyond any rational expectations. It`s no wonder Steve Wynn would name the newest nightclub to his empire `XS`. That`s exactly what it is, an excessive experience. It`s excessively beautifully decorated, it`s excessively enormous in it`s stature, and it`s excessively over the top with it`s customer service. If you come to Las Vegas and you want to have the feeling of dignity, then make no mistake, it`s done by rolling on property, experiencing `XS` with a dance floor table while you`re popping magnum bottles of Dom Perignon, while the biggest names in the DJ world, like Dead Mouse and Afro Jack, spin a tune that`s catered to you as ten smoking hot waitresses carrying torches stop the whole club to get you what you need. That`s dignity! The club inside is 16,000 square feet and designed in a half circle with concentric seating going from the outer wall to the center stage dance floor. The closer you get to the dance floor the higher the bottle minimums get. On a Saturday night you`re looking at a $15,000 bar minimum for a dance floor table. They are all sold out! Every night! Also, the club has an outside pool area with black jack tables, daybeds, and 26 cabanas. The club is opened from Friday through Monday and during the summer months on Sunday night `XS` does it excessively again. The inside club is shut down and only the outside pool area is open. Bathing suits are recommended as well as swimming. Having bottle service in the pool, as you`re lying on a daybed, in the middle of the night, in your bathing suit, getting a tan from the moon, in the 95 degree heat, that`s dignity too! Tell them Brett sent you! -Brett Feinstein -Vegashotspots.com -`Hot Head` Critic 11/5/2011 7:03:09 AM
Vegas Hot Heads Sports Pick of the Week: Alabama -4.5 over LSU If you caught this week`s Hot Head Happy Hour radio show with VHS`s own Brett Feinstein (KLAV 1230 AM, Fridays, 7-8 pm) you heard Randall `the honeybadger guy` documenting the many badass exploits of the notorious honeybadger. Well Alabama`s Nick Saban might just be the honeybadger of the coaching world. This guy just doesn`t give a you-know-what. And more importantly, he`s got a defense for the ages, loaded with future NFL players. He`s also got a nasty offensive line that prides itself on beating opposing fronts into submission. Granted, LSU has a pretty good defense itself. The Tigers have some mashers of their own, too, like 280 lb. blocking fullback J.C. Copeland. They`re also more experienced at quarterback and more explosive at the wideout position. None of that will matter much this week, though. Alabama is just the better team. They`ve got the better coach, the better defense, a great running back in Trent Richardson and a quarterback in A.J. McCarron who, while admittedly young, is much better than most people seem to realize. Most of all, the game is being played at Bama`s Bryant-Denny Stadium, where the Tide are 27-1 since 2007. Lay the points in this one. Alabama wins by a touchdown or more. 11/4/2011 2:37:51 AM
If you like a certain kind of food- namely old school, east coast style Italian- Rao`s at Caesar`s Palace gets our nod as the best restaurant in Las Vegas. Rao`s has it all- atmosphere, service, and most of all, exquisite food (more on that in a minute). Above and beyond all that, Rao`s has history. It has mystique. The Rao`s story begins not in Vegas but in the Harlem region of New York`s upper Manhattan. And it begins not in this century, not in the previous century even, but in the century before that. It was in 1896 to be precise that Italian immigrant Charles Rao purchased a small saloon at the corner of 114th Street and Pleasant Avenue and named it Rao`s. With his death in 1909 his sons Louis and Vincent, who were born and raised in the house next door to the saloon, took over Rao`s for themselves. Slowly, as the decades passed, Rao`s developed such a following in the local neighborhood that a small but growing cadre of patrons maintained standing reservations on certain days. Considering that Rao`s only has ten tables in the entire restaurant, that there is only one seating per evening, and that many existing reservations remain from decades before, it is no surprise that it has become virtually impossible for outsiders to land a reservation. The legend of Rao`s exploded on the New York scene once and for all when New York Times food critic Mimi Sheraton published an ecstatic review in 1977. No longer was Rao`s a hidden gem for those in the know. Now, all of a sudden, it was one of the most sought after- and elusive- dining destinations in all of New York. In this regard, food lovers everywhere rejoiced with the opening of a second, much larger Rao`s at Caesar`s Palace in Las Vegas. The design and atmosphere of the Vegas Rao`s certainly can`t match the history and soul of the New York location but it has one key advantage- you can get a table here. And most importantly of all, the food, by all accounts, is exactly the same as the food served at the original location. Which is to say that the food at Vegas Rao`s is delectable. Mouth watering. Old school Italian dishes with a distinctive twist that you won`t soon forget. Whether you`re visiting Rao`s for a romantic dinner with your significant other or in a large group, family-style, with shared dishes, is the way to go. Start things off with the wonderful Antipasto Della Casa (for two- priced at $29), featuring prosciutto di parma, mild sopresata, roasted bell peppers, mixed olives, buffalo mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, grana padano and gorgonzola cheese over dressed arugula. Swing into the main course with a pasta side dish topped with Rao`s unmistakable signature marinara sauce ($23). Made with san marzano tomatoes, this sauce is truly bursting with flavor, the type of flavor where you can literally taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients. It would be criminal not to pair your pasta with a side of Rao`s traditional meatballs in that same wonderful sauce ($16 for two- they`re not small). If you wanna work some veggies into the mix, check out the Peas & Prosciutto, an ideal complimentary dish ($15). Also distinguishing itself in the pasta section of the menu is the Orecchiette with Broccoli Rappe and Sausage ($26). If you`re wondering what orecchiette is, it`s a somewhat rare and (if you ask me) vastly underrated circular pasta. The name derives from the word orecchio, Italian for `ear,` because orecchiette bears a passing resemblance to a small ear. Either way, it works beautifully in this dish alongside sweet Italian sausage and broccoli rabe, all sauteed in a delightfully flavored extra virgin olive oil. This dish exemplifies what lifts Rao`s above the masses of ho-hum Italian eateries: interesting variations on traditional dishes and perfectly constructed recipes executed with the finest ingredients. Moving on to the entrees, two of the more memorable offerings include Uncle Vincent`s Famous Lemon Chicken ($26) and the Steak Pizzzaiola ($48). The first of these consists of quartered charcoal broiled chicken served in an excellent lemon sauce. As for the Steak Pizzaiola, it`s a pan-seared 17 oz. prime shell steak sauteed and topped with bell peppers, button mushrooms, onions, and those same san marzano tomatoes that the marinara sauce is based on. Vegas is full of steak houses that talk a good game, but few, if any, serve a steak as perfectly charred and flavorful as this one. The novelty of the pizzaiola style makes for an excellent pairing with the meat itself. More traditional steak lovers who view this pairing with initial skepticism may find themselves pleasantly surprised if they approach with an open mind. In these cases, and across the menu, Rao`s serves up consistently memorable dishes that are beautifully flavored but always subtle, never overdone. The atmosphere is about as charming as it gets in a casino location. Indeed, the hardwood floors and moderately sized separate rooms seem far removed from the rows of slot machines and blackjack tables that sit outside and around the corner. The jukebox- a legendary component of the New York Rao`s- sets the tone here as well, with plenty of Sinatra, Johnny Mathis and the like wafting through the air as you finish up another great meal with an after-dinner drink (grappa anyone?) and a healthy slice of creamy tiramisu.

This place definitely needs a revamp! Benihana is a great place for a birthday dinner and the sports book is popular and is well known for being the home of one of the biggest, most prestigious, challenging pro football handicapping contests in the World. Sometimes they have a good music act like the Doobie Brothers or Heart in their theater. Nightly, in the `Shimmer Cabaret` the Hilton has two acts. Trent Carlini stars as `The King` and goes on around 6:45PM and Greg London does impressions that rock at 8:30PM. Not the best and definitely not the worst. Let`s put some money into this spot and get it hot! 10/11/2011 11:05:21 PM
I have been to Little Darlings on three consecutive nights. The girls are not super pushy and understand a "no", if you say "yes" for a lap dance, you will not regret it. Sometimes the girls have a lot of tatoos, but that is a matterof taste. in General: Very nice! 10/4/2011 10:28:26 AM
If ifnormtaion were soccer, this would be a goooooal! 10/3/2011 8:04:01 PM Well, that raps up another amazing summer here in good ol` Las Vegas. The summer of `11 will go down in history as the `forgotten summer` and you will owe that partially to Wet Republic at the MGM Grand for serving up some mean poolside rum. Run by Angel Management group, Wet Republic has changed the face of what it meant to party poolside in Las Vegas as it brought back class and a whole lotta ...buns to Vegas` daytime party scene. The pool scene has really exploded over the last ten years here in Vegas. It used to be if you wanted to go to a pool you would have to use the facilities at the hotel. Now, don`t get me wrong, the hotels have wonderfully attractive watering holes, sometimes above and beyond ones expectations and I can even remember having the time of my life at several of them but who goes to the hotel pools anymore? It`s all about the ultra day pool parties these days! Wet Republic has it all. Bungalows, cabanas, day beds, chaise lounges, two huge salt water pools, and even a private jacuzzi for each Deluxe Bungalow that overlooks the entire party scene from above. This is where you will find the A list celebrities and the high rolling VIP`s on any given day of the week. Over the course of this last summer, sadly enough it`s over now, here is a list of the few celeb party animals that got paid the big bucks to come down and host the day away. For instance, Audrina Patridge, Carmen Electra, Kourtney Kardashian, Sean `Diddy` Combs all made it a point to get to Wet Republic this summer not just because they get paid big bucks to make their appearances but I`m sure it`s because these players all know where the action is at. This oasis is like no other in the desert and it`s no facade. The music scene is intense, on any given day the most popular DJ`s in the world are spinning to music hungry fans wading in the pools with drinks in hand and excitement filled eyes. During the season finale party, they were going crazy to Steven Angello of the Swedish House Mafia. It`s days like these that make the pool party scene what it is today and will forever make the hotel pools a thing of the past. Tell them Brett sent you! -Brett Feinstein -Vegashotspots.com -`Hot Head` Critic 9/30/2011 7:48:06 PM `TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both.` -Robert Frost `The Road not Taken` It`s fitting that this review of Dos Caminos would begin with the first line of one of the most famous poems of all time. Obviously, the English translation of the restaurant`s name turns out to be `Two Roads`, but most importantly, the more obvious reason would be that, this Mexican Hot Spot in The Palazzo Hotel in Las Vegas is just pure poetry for the mouth! Let me just tell you, if you happen to find yourself walking around and you accidentally stumble upon the entrance of this restaurant, don`t even think twice about not traveling up it`s beautiful entrance way to put your name down for a table. It may be one of the most important discoveries in fine dining history that you will ever make and you won`t have any regrets! I was there before, standing on the threshold, but I took the leap of faith and went with my gut, literally, and how my belly was pleased. Now, I can`t get enough! You got to be kidding me! This is hands down the best gourmet Mexican food I have ever encountered. It has changed my view forever of what I should expect from the kitchen. And the bar for that matter! Where do I begin? If you love having a good Margarita then this spot is not for you because Dos Caminos doesn`t have a good Margarita, the Margarita here, known as the `El Camino` is the BEST! The Margarita Mix is the key, made with 100% real lime juice and made fresh daily. After adding a few more elements to this magic mixture, which they keep tight lipped about and for good reason, what you end up with is the perfect harmonious balance between your taste buds and your head buzz. It`s not so often that you find love at first sip and if you got the stamina you can even go at least 3 or 4 rounds before you know it. Believe it! Once you`ve been seated, you will understand that you aren`t in your typical `el restaurante`. The decor and the ambiance are over the top. The restaurant itself is huge, with very high ceilings. The booths are very comfortable, stylish and easy to maneuver in and out of, which is important, especially if you`ve had a few margaritas by this point. Just sayn`! Speaking of the bathrooms, each stall is its own unique private bathroom, with sinks in each of them. The walls of the restaurant are decorated with hundreds of beautifully crafted crystal-like skulls that add an element of sophistication and artistry. There is even a banquet room large enough for a convention party or classy enough for a rehearsal dinner. Whatever your needs are this restaurant can accommodate you. Let`s get down to the food! There is nothing on the menu that you can go wrong with. Personally, when I frequent this establishment, the first thing that arrives on my table happens to be their famous Guacamole. Loaded with fresh avocados, tomatoes, peppers, lime and more, add a few chips and some very tasty dipping salsas, you can`t go wrong. Word to the wise: The `Guac` is so good that you can easily get carried away and fill up before you even get your dinner so ease up a bit on this scrumptious appetizer. Next, the Roasted Plantain Empanadas made with requeson, black beans and chipotle aioli is the tastiest. Also, you may not want to miss out on the Tuna Ceviche prepared in a soy lime marinade, with serrano chilies, fresh mint and served on a piece of roasted sweet potato. Traditionally, tacos and enchiladas are a staple at any Mexican food restaurant, and at Dos Caminos there is no exception. However, here the enchiladas are made with roasted chicken, rolled in corn tortillas with Mexican cheeses and two sauces; tomatillo verde and mole poblano - a complex sauce of chiles, Chocolate and nuts. This all sounds very good but you don`t know anything until you have tried the Sea Bass entree! Personally, I think it`s the best seafood dish in town and by far the way to go when ordering you main course. However, if you`re looking for some meat, try the Ribeye Steak Alambre. This is skewered, wrapped with applewood smoked bacon, cipollini onions, poblano chilies, arroz con crema, in a chimichurri sauce. The food is excellent, the drinks are amazing, the decor is beautiful, the ambience is exciting, and that only leaves one thing left and that is the service. Trust me, they didn`t skip any corners on finding the right crew to run this establishment! The drinks are always being refilled, the messes are always being cleaned up promptly, the executive chef is always coming around to make sure the food is as it should be, and even sometimes will hand deliver the dishes himself, thanks Roberto! Customer service and satisfaction are taken to a new level when dining at this high end modern Mexican cuisine! Tell them Brett sent you! `Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-- I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.`

If wanting to know what it was like during the heyday of Las Vegas then this show gives a really good taste. From the one liners to the singing performances and the band it`s hard not to find yourself thinking it`s the 1950`s. The actors were spot on, especially the Dean Martin actor. 9/19/2011 3:34:00 PM Residing at The Cosmopolitan Hotel, which is Las Vegas` newest addition to the Strip, lies a restaurant tucked away on the top floor above a chandelier that drapes down around three stories of elegant shops, fine dining restaurants, and a top tier nightclub. STK, the only thing this restaurant doesn`t have is a vowel. Be prepared to be blown away by this HOT SPOT! From the moment you walk in, you realize that you have hit the `Jackpot`! This place isn`t for the faint of heart either. The energy inside of STK is like no other restaurant I have ever been to. A DJ spins his songs to a crowd of dinner goers that are urged to get up on the tables and dance. Two bars are packed with people sucking down cocktails as they anxiously wait for a space to drop into and order some of the most delicious food this Planet Earth has to offer. To start off this melody in your mouth, you will want to dive right into the Pear and Endive Salad, but to complete the picture you must order the Beef Tartare made with black truffles, sliced radish and soy caramel. Mmm, Don`t forget the Tuna Tartare made with corn tuille, pecans and avocados. The taste left in you mouth almost makes you not want to try the beautiful Seafood Platter that`s on the way but as soon as you see it on the table. Game on! The freshest seafood platter on dry land is at STK. Oysters on the half shell, lobster, shrimp, crab and the tastiest dipping sauces around make this platter an unbelievable spectacle, jaw dropping with every bite. Now if that`s not enough, you already know that you got your Steaks coming out, hot off the grill any minute. The 24 oz. Porterhouse and the 34 oz. cowboy rib steak are just a few of the signature steaks that get all the sizzle. Oh and on a side note, don`t forget to grab some good ole green beans, some tasty asparagus and the mac and cheese is insane!
That`s just the food. The service at this restaurant is impeccable. From the moment you walk in you are treated like you are the only customer in the place. Everybody is smiling, friendly attitudes from the porters all the way to the executive chefs! The management is superb and the hosts are always taking care of you. Be sure to make a reservation well in advance if you want to try this spot. It`s at least an hour wait with no reso! By FAR the best sushi in Las Vegas! Not just a great atmosphere but it`s the quality of the fish that really seals the deal. I have eaten here alot and I have turned more than a few peoples minds about how they feel about sushi. I still hear today about how the first time they ever liked or even tried sushi was with me, here. And they aren`t complaining. George`s Lobster Roll is a a must have with some tasty Wakatake Sake. Management is excellent and the service is always a plus ! They even have a great Chinese food menu to go along with your Sashimi. The Beef chow mein is excellent! This place you can`t go wrong! 8/23/2011 12:12:10 PM
Best restaurant in the US 7/31/2011 12:28:54 PM
This was the best club ever!!! We had a large party of 20. The table service was great. DJ was right on point. Couldn`t stop dancing even when I got tired. I will be sure to come back the next time I`m in town 7/24/2011 6:53:36 PM
BEST GIRLS IN LAS VEGAS, GREAT VIP ROOMS, GREAT PARTIES. 7/24/2011 6:51:54 PM
BEST STEAKS IN VEGAS 7/23/2011 8:59:24 AM
Spent the Saturday night of Labor Day weekend 2010 here. Surreal moment standing on the balcony on the roof of Ceasars Palace overlooking the strip. Amazing. 7/22/2011 3:55:33 PM
Best New Club in Vegas! `Definitely a Diamond in the rough!` 7/22/2011 3:50:11 PM
Vanity is great, the music and the dancers make the club electric. The have a really good house DJ 7/20/2011 9:34:20 PM
Pure is one of the original Hot Spots in the mega club nightlife scene. Its 40,000 sq ft and has 4 rooms of music with one of the largest patios overlooking the strip. Table service is great and always take care of their locals. Show up early because this place gets busy every weekend. 7/20/2011 9:30:41 PM
This local favorite is hands down one of the best date spots in Vegas. Even if your just grabbing some pitchers of Sangria with friends, you`ll love the lively atmosphere and tasty tapas. The ambiance is great, food is great and everyone is a fan of their famous Sangria. 7/19/2011 4:49:07 PM
Best time ever in Vegas! The girls are beautiful and everyone is friendly. It`s like a fantasy. 7/17/2011 1:59:16 AM
I`m not ealisy impressed. . . but that`s impressing me! :) 7/8/2011 4:42:36 PM
The walk up the stairs after getting your hand stamped builds the anticipation. When you walk in lights and music fill the air around you. Dancing and a performance by a Michael Jackson impersonator and vip tables line the room. It made for a wonderful evening. We paid 20 dollars each to get in and at the end of the night I spent 21 dollars on three very small bottles of water but it was well worth it. 7/5/2011 9:56:57 PM
Great service, great food, stunning location and view of the wynn water show. Expect to spend over $100 per person for dinner. Try the smoked prime rib and the crab cakes. 7/5/2011 9:35:40 PM
It was an amazing meal but a little overpriced. We got steak and lobster and split it between 2 people. With a few sides and the complementary appetizer they gave us, it was enough food. Just wish they offered locals some sort of discount! 7/4/2011 4:10:49 PM
A strong 5 stars!I came here with my girlfriend during our last stay in Vegas. We arrived rather late, around 1-2am, we were sited promptly and were waiting for the waitress to place our order. It took about 7-8 minutes but apparently it was too long for their standards as the manager offered us an appetizer and dessert on the house (!) We were already very positively surprised. The appetizer was outstanding, delicious and perfect.I don`t remember the exact names of the rolls that we got but everything was fresh and delicious. The drinks were done properly too, the berry iced tea was one of the best I`ve ever tried and it was non-alcoholic!Perfect service, perfect food. So sad we don`t get that here in Inland Empire, CA :/ My only complain would be the music, it was a tad bit too loud, especially for very late night, but it wasn`t very disturbing. We will definitely be back next time! 6/27/2011 8:55:15 PM
It`s a beautiful restaurant with a great patio for a excellent view of the strip. Very romantic for couples 6/8/2011 3:11:06 PM
The FOOD is great. Look to find yourself feasting on a seafood platter of the finest shell fish in the city. Then, when that is polished off, the T-bone is a superb choice to really get your steak on. Oh, but don`t forget the salad, they have one designated for each season of the year! This is a great place for a big group of guys as there are always the prettiest ladies in town looking to eat some good meat! USDA approved of course! 6/6/2011 12:23:43 AM
Loved it!!! 5/29/2011 9:52:06 PM
Stayed at the Palms last year(2010) for my birthday week. Loved the atomsphere of the resort/casino and the pool was definitely, off the hook! It has a great club vibe to it as well as beautiful women everywhere. Next time I`ll rent a cabana. The only negative was that it closes too early and Ditch Fridays(which is a huge pool party every friday during spring break and the summer months)become very crowded quickly so better plan ahead and come when the pool opens up. I give it an 8 out of 10. Can`t wait to go back. 5/25/2011 9:41:36 PM
Great pool!! Regular rooms are average. Could use some refurbishing of carpeting and furniture. The location is excellent. Go rooms are good, with comfortable mattresses. Nice showers too. Most of the service staff is very willing to help. Repairs are not tended to very promptly. I continue to stay at the Flamingo because we always enjoy our time there. Will be there in August! 5/25/2011 9:32:07 PM
Great pool. Clean, and very popular. Pretty surroundings. 5/24/2011 5:35:54 PM
Absolutely love the Men of Sapphire show! This weekend my girlfriends and I tried out the new `STRIPPER 101` pole dancing class and saw the show after! It was a great night! 5/19/2011 7:15:27 PM
There is no other club like it! It`s better than any night club in Las Vegas and `THE BEST` Gentlemen`s club! The service is exceptional and personable, making it the only place to spend your night partying in Vegas!!! 5/12/2011 9:33:48 PM
This place is awesome! There were 500 beautiful girls on the night I went. And the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I can`t wait to go back! Ask for the dancer `Chase`, she is so sexy and fun. 5/12/2011 5:06:22 PM
The Revere can be referred to as a golfers pristine oasis, overlooking the Las Vegas Skyline and mountains beyond. It provides a pleasant and peaceful area in the midst of a scorching, stimulating, and erotic Las Vegas desert. The Revere Golf Club offers two inspiring courses: the Lexington course offers a 7,143-yard, par-72 layout will test your golf skills, the Concord course offers a 7,034-yard, par-72 layout that provides lush Bermuda greens for excellent leisure play. The courses are surrounded by wonderfully luxurious multi-million dollar homes, perfect for making a person feel like a baller while on the course. The golf club`s staff was enthusiastic and playfully sarcastic while maintaining excellent professional service. Last week was my first visit to this course and I plan to return for another round immediately. I discovered that the Concord has very few hazards, which is surprising for Vegas courses, however I came to realize the greens are fast and extremely hilly. An excellent course for someone looking to improve their putting game, as well for those just looking to have some fun (since losing balls is very unlikely with the lack of hazards). The cart girls are extremely hospitable and came around the course about twice while at play. Fully stocked, and orders from the country club for meals could be placed with the girls. The carts came with a wind shield and ice chests with complimentary water bottles. I would recommend hitting the course during your trip to Vegas. An ideal golf course for bachelor parties and for golfers just looking for some great golf conditions in Las Vegas. I`d join in a round at this course anytime. 5/12/2011 2:47:01 PM
What a fantastic show and a piece of history. I was amazed at all the talent on stage. Although the music is just a bit before my time, it`s really amazing to hear the roots of Rock `n` Roll as well as how many songs I actually have heard before and remember. If you like rock `n` roll, this is a show that can`t be missed. The show starts out with all the singers and the Marvelette singers rising from the elevator platform in the middle of this round theater, which makes for quite a dramatic entrance. Once the introductions are made the boys come out and sing songs like Yakity-Yak and Poison Ivy. It`s amazing how great they sound after doing these songs for decades. Lewis Lyman, who has been a part of these bands for decades, is the clown of the group as he always has some wise crack. My favorite line is when he says `I`m glad to be anywhere but jail.` It`s not all singing though. They have a couple skits where they do some clowning around and if your name is `Charlie` then get prepared to be dragged up to the stage for a rendition of `Charlie Brown`. The band was fantastic and I don`t recall hearing a single mistake the whole night. For the most part they stay in the back but the guitar player gets his moment to step out front and show off some really tasty guitar riffs. After the show you can have your chance to meet the singers as you exit the theater. They are very friendly and you can tell they really love doing what they are doing. It`s a wonderful show not just for those that were growing up when these bands were in their prime but also for those that really want to see the roots of `Rock `n` Roll`. 5/12/2011 2:17:38 PM
Want to be treated like a king for the price of a lord? Then this is the place to play. I`m what you would call an economy golfer but in this case an out-of-town friend wanted to play some golf but not on the municipal courses I usually play. I had heard a lot about this course and was told it was a very reasonable price for the quality of the course. It`s a bit far from the strip but worth the trip and probably why it`s not as expensive as some of the other courses that are closer to the Strip. Arriving at the course I pulled into the parking lot and the bag drop was right there so I didn`t have to traipse across a parking lot with my clubs. Make sure you get there well before your tee-time so that you can take advantage of the practice range where you will find range balls stacked up and ready to hit some practice shots. All the stalls are on turf so you can really get the feel. There are a lot of fantastic holes with lots of hitting up-hill as well as down-hill. The course is very well maintained and lots of fun. The greens were a lot of fun as they were fast but not really fast. The course is a par-72 and it`s kind of short even from the tips at just under 7000 yards and just over 5600 yards from the forward tees. There are four sets of tees that accommodate golfers of any level. The ninth hole was one of my favorites. It`s a par four that hits downhill where your second shot is over water to the green. Make sure you get a good tee shot or you will be hitting a long shot to the green over that water. As is typical with Las Vegas courses, this course is pretty wide open and although there aren`t many holes that are side-by-side with other holes, most of the holes are pretty forgiving. Still though, if you have a wicked slice then you are going to be donating balls to the home owners all along the course. Many of the holes have sand protecting the greens but fortunately the sand traps are pretty well maintained with enough sand that you aren`t hitting off of what feels like concrete. The course usually isn`t packed solid so you can usually get a round in in under four hours. Overall it`s a really fun course to play and if you are looking for something that isn`t quite the name of say Bali Hai but has a quality layout then this is an ideal course. 5/12/2011 2:04:15 PM
The Revere Golf Club is located about fifteen minutes from The Strip in the Anthem hills, which is one of our local retirement communities. There are two courses here, the Lexington and the Concord. The Concord is the easier of the two, if there is such a thing. Each hole on both courses have names themed by the American Revolution. With names like `Midnight Ride` and `Iron Side` you can`t help but get the patriotic fever. My favorite hole on the Concord is the 18th hole, also known as `Independence`. You tee off with a lake in front of you and aim for the gap right down the center. If you hit it right you can be sitting pretty to hit the green on your second shot of this par 5. Don`t be short to the green or you can end up in the rock-lined creek where your Las Vegas luck comes into play as your ball can disappear, wind up back on the fairway or right on the green after bouncing around in the creek. Don`t go long either as the back of the green has two big sand traps. Hitting from those traps are quite the challenge as they are both down hill to the green and yes, if you skull it you are playing the pinball shot into the creek. Fortunately the sand is thick and fluffy so don`t worry about not being able to get under the ball. The Lexington course is a bit more challenging with tighter fairways and longer holes. The signature hole is the 7th hole or `King`s Chapel`, which is a wide open par five that is up-hill to a three tier green with a beautiful waterfall behind the green. Keep your ball below the pin so that you can putt up to the pin otherwise if you are putting downhill to the pin it`s very easy to go past the pin and find yourself rolling down and off the front of the green. Overall the course is in very good condition with greens that run fast and true. Both courses are very hilly with lots of elevated tee`s. The staff is very helpful and the club house is quite spectacular with it`s view of the The Strip and the Las Vegas valley. They are strict on the dress code with collard shirts being mandatory and NO blue-jeans. They do have club rentals and while the rates for tourists are high compared to the local rates it is one of the best priced courses for tourists and a view to die for. Both courses are well worth the price and all with a fantastic view of the Las Vegas Strip. 5/11/2011 6:34:44 PM
Located across the street from McCarran airport and right on Las Vegas Blvd. across from Town Square, Callaway has a fantastic 9-hole course and practice facility.
From the moment you walk up and hand your clubs to a bag boy you get the feeling that this isn`t just a run of the mill driving range with a par-3 course. Walking in the front door you are greeted by a Callaway store complete with an area so that you can be fitted for a new set of Callaway clubs. After all, that`s part of the reason for the facility, to promote Callaway golf equipment. The store has plenty to offer besides Callaway clubs. Everything from souvenir logo balls and club head covers to golf attire. As you walk further into the facility you`ll find a fairly large restaurant/grill where you can relax over a drink and sandwich after your practice workout. The practice range has two levels to hit from with plenty of stalls. The range has plenty of targets to shoot at, which is important to hone your stroke. It makes it easy to pretend you are on any hole and play it like you are actually there. This gives a golfer with even a modicum of imagination something to shoot for. To either side of the main driving area is a grass area enclosed by a huge net for private lessons and the other side, for a little more you can purchase the `white` bucket, to practice hitting off of the grass instead of the mats in the main driving range area. One of the neat things that I like about the driving range, although some people don`t like it, is that you can watch the planes from McCarran take off right over the course. It almost looks like when you are driving that you can hit one of the planes as it takes off. Of course you can`t but it still looks like you can. The putting green is a bit much. It has undulations galore and you would be hard pressed to find much more than a few feet that is flat and level. It`s nice to putt on a green that has all the undulations but a true practice facility needs to have flat and level areas too so that you can make sure that your putting stroke is true. You won`t find that here. Right next to the putting green there is also a small sand trap and small green to practice your chipping. It`s a little tight over there but adequate to the task. The nine-hole course, also known as `The Divine Nine` makes this a complete practice facility. The course is not an easy one. Take the third and fourth holes for example. They aren`t very long, most holes are in the 120 yard range, but both of these holes have lots of water between the tee box and the greens. Talk about messing with your mind. The greens on the course can be in really good shape but as it gets late into the season they can get beat up from all the ball marks that go un-repaired by the beginning players who just don`t know any better. When they are fresh after over-seeding they are really divine to putt on. The ball rolls pretty quick and true. That makes making those long 20-foot putts that much easier and rewarding. The greens also hold very well. It`s not too often that if you hit the green that your ball continues off the back of the green. There are plenty of places to lose your ball on this course so make sure you bring enough. There is always the last resort of picking up some of the range balls that find their way onto the course and using those. Don`t worry about bringing your clubs as they do have club rentals for both the range and the course for a reasonable price. Also, if you don`t like walking, no problem. You can get a golf cart to ride for a bit more on the green fees. Overall this is a fantastic course for someone looking to get a quick round in, I`ve played it in less than an hour, and to see and play the latest clubs by Callaway. This is a perfect activity for late morning or afternoon before heading out again at night. Speaking of which, they do have lights so that you can play at night, which is also a lot of fun.

This is hands down the BEST club in Vegas, probably in the country. It`s in the Wynn, which is by far the best hotel. The set up is brilliant with dancing inside and outside by the pool you can lounge in a cabana under the moon. The Monday night pool party is crazy. Bottles and Bikinis. Love it! 5/6/2011 2:05:19 PM
